While running for reelection, Republican Lauren Boebert of Colorado attacked actresses Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds for endorsing her Democratic opponent.
Rep. Ken Buck (R–Colo.) presently represents Colorado’s 4th District, but Boebert has stated last week that she will be running in that district instead of her current 3rd District position. Prior to the 2024 election, Buck declared his intention not to run for reelection
Bannon claimed on his "War Room" podcast that Democrats have amassed millions of dollars to oppose Boebert in the years leading up to 2024. According to the Republican member, Democrats "are simply running against Lauren Boebert" and don't have any "policies that they are running on."
Barbra Streisand's donation to the Democrat party is a big deal. According to Boebert, "Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress" when Ryan Reynolds donates to a Democrat.
Last year, Streisand and Reynolds each gave $1,000 and $1,500 to the campaign of Democratic opponent Adam Frisch, as reported by the Federal Election Commission.
In the 2022 midterms, Boebert narrowly beat Frisch by a margin of slightly more than 500 votes.
districts. However, the congressman has stated that conservatives in Colorado have a chance to make a larger impact by competing for the state's fourth district.
"I will not leave my district. The third district of Colorado is my home, and I will do everything in my power to protect the rights of every single individual who lives there, Boebert declared.
